Planet Doggiewood

Planet Doggiewood was founded in 2007 by Dave Ancel, Norm & Cindy Martel.  Since being in business Planet Doggiewood has been awarded several prestigious title's including Small Business of the Year.  We pride ourselves on making a difference in our community and loving the pets that come to spend time with us.

Dave has been certified by the National Animal Control Association and is currently on the Board of Directors of the East Alabama Business Association and the Humane Society Pet Rescue & Adoption Center of Etowah County. An Ambassador with the Etowah County/ Gadsden Chamber of Commerce and also a member of the Gadsden BNI group.  He has owned dogs his entire life. His prior positions in the nuclear field required meticulous attention to detail in order to maintain the highest quality control. He is an animal lover and currently lives with several dogs including his adopted Beagle and Dalmation mix; Snoopy and Daisy. 

Our trainer, Rusty, and our Groomer, Andrea, have both been certified in their respective area's as well; training and grooming.  We offer a full range of services; so if you aren't sure or have awkward requests, give us a call, you never know.
